Mayor Iorio will be on hand to congratulate cyclists and sign a proclamation.  Proclamations from Temple Terrace, St. Petersburg and other cities will be bicycled to this location.  Ride sponsored by the St. Petersburg Bicycle Club.

Reduce your carbon footprint and make bike commuting work for you! Learn how to maintain and outfit your bike, find secure bike parking, pick your route, and how to stay safe at night.

Go Green Night with the Storm!

There will be many different activities to show how you can participate in going green and even earn free tickets to the Storm game.

 

-Anyone bringing a phone book for shredding by Pro Shred will receive a free ticket into the game.

-Bring a computer to be recycled by Creative Recycling and receive 4 free tickets to the game.

-Ride to the game on public transportation (bus, In-Town Trolley or Streetcar) and ask the driver for a voucher to get in free to the game.

-Arrive via bicycle to earn a free ticket to the game. Secure bike parking provided onsite.

-Waste Services will sponsor the “Recycling Minute” during the 4th quarter. Cans and bottles will be collected right from your seat.

Bike-In Movie Theater and Potluck

The Seminole Heights Bicycle Club is proud to present the first-ever Bike-in Movie Theater this Saturday, MAY 17, at 8 PM at Alan Snel's house, 1203 East Powhatan Avenue.  Come participate in a pot luck dinner at 8 PM and then enjoy the famed bicycle movie, Breaking Away, on the screen in the back yard at 9 PM.  Contact Alan Snel at alansnel@yahoo.com for further information.

Second Annual Dunedin Ride

Meet at the City's Historic Railroad Depot (349 Main Street, Dunedin, FL)

at 6 p.m. with the ride starting promptly at 6:15 p.m.

Route is up the Pinellas Trail to Curlew Road/Causeway Boulevard, then west on the Dunedin Causeway trail spur to Honeymoon Island State Park and then back along the same route to the Depot, for a total ride length of 12 miles. Helmets are MANDATORY!  Although this is not a City sponsored ride, a representative of the City will serve as the ride leader and will circulate waivers for participant signatures prior to ride start.  Last year we had 18 participants that rode the 12 miles resulting in 216 total miles for the cause!  For ride information, please contact Matthew Campbell at (727) 298-3198.
